Major Requirements

B.A./B.S. MAJOR: 34 hours

  1. Required Psychology Core Courses -- 13 hours

  2. Foundations Course Work: Students must choose at least one course from each of the following areas -- 9 hours

  3. Electives within the major -- 12 hours. At least 6 hours must be numbered above 300. Students may want to choose elective credits from special interest course groupings.

    Note: Foundation courses that are not used to fulfill those requirements may also be used as electives.

  4. Suggestions for General Education and General Electives:
    • Complete your Math requirement in your first year. The Math course is a prerequisite for our statistics course.
    • Take a lab course in Natural Science, BIO 102, or BMS 105. Take BIO 121 or BMS 110 only after consulting your advisor.
